Entry 5..
I started mining again. Then my packs got full of items.
I made a chest out of wooden planks. Making two of them and putting them side by side is really handy, making them larger.
I’ve started digging deeper, using ladders from sticks to get back up. I found some pockets of darkness with some coal and.. iron? That tan-ish ore; I think it’s called iron. I’ve also found some pools of…lava? It seems dangerous. I get near it and I can feel the extreme hotness coming from it. It also sends up little flames. I stay away from those.
I was mining and came across some other blocks. Flecks of yellow show up on it. I’m not going to mine it until I know more about the rock.
I’ve been hearing growls again. Even when it’s daytime outside, it sounds like there’s monsters all around.
I have come to a realization. Monsters only come out at nighttime. I went outside right after sunrise and saw something in the distance. It was walking on two feet, like myself, and was on fire. I hadn’t seen any other two legged beings, so it had to be a monster.. or another person. I try not to think about that.
It’s pretty lonely around here. I don’t use blocks to block my entrance anymore. I made a door. For it, I also used planks. It’s a lot easier than breaking blocks and replacing them.
I’m going to try to find where those sounds are coming from.
